The Holographic Fabric of Space

 

The Holographic Fabric of Space
occurs when a 3-dimensional volume of space is determined by a pre-existing 2-dimensional space.

The project began in June, with a
2-dimensional space of the river. The rocks are below the water level, and then rise to crate a 3-dimesional space. 

The riverbed provides all the rocks, and the bedrock has cracks etched in geometric patterns.

 The installation is a network of interconnecting rocks, placed in parallel straight lines, which create the illusion of depth and curved spaces. Each rock defines the fabric and form of the Holographic Spaces. 

 

The dimensions of the project measure 200 feet/60m across and 80 feet/25m into the river from the shore.
